Summary, etc Abstract: Both China and United States are affected by the negative effect of climate change. Research has shown China has begun to implement measures to go against climate change such as the invention of greener technology and renewable resources. Meanwhile, United States under Trump’s administration is reluctant to take steps to combat against climate change. This study aims to identify the negative effect of climate change affecting Chinese and American. To determine the role of China in combating greenhouse gases and to investigate on climate change policies under Trump’s administration. Based on the literature review on climate change, this research will focuses on two research theories mainly green theory on the development of green technology and the Thirteen Five Year Plan of China and the construction of rational choice theory on Trump’s decision to continue the construction of the gases pipeline, reformation of Environmental Protection Agency and his decision to withdraw from Paris Agreement in 2017. The result on this project finding could be useful to create awareness and to educate the future generation on the impact of climate change. It is recommended that building a clean energy economy could help to achieve the goals of reducing greenhouses gases and achieving sustainable development.
