(Hons) in Actuarial Studies (UC3F1906ACS). Summary: This research mainly discussed about the demands of healthcare service in Klang Valley, Malaysia. The issue regardless healthcare services such as increases in healthcare expenditure has been discussed along with the motive of this research. Determinants that had been used in investigating the relationship with demands of healthcare service in Klang Valley, Malaysia, including age, gender, highest educational level, smoking- related factors, drinking- related factors and exercise- related factors. Literatures have been used to support the discussion and analysis had been generated by using SPSS software. The results had been explained along with the limitation and some recommendation that might improve the future research. With the assistance from 133 respondents, the results from testing shows that age, gender and one of the smoking-related factors which is number of years since started smoking are significant factors toward the demands of healthcare service in Klang Valley, Malaysia. However, the other factors are shown to be insignificant but justification and explanation had been provided mainly in Chapter 4 and Chapter 5. It is believed that this research could contribute to authorities such as government or health insurance company by giving an insight on the determinant of demands of healthcare service.
