Summary: The purpose of this study is to assess the factors that mostly affect financial performance of firms which listed in Bursa Malaysia. The factors used in this study included firm size, firm age, company growth, liquidity and leverage while return on assets is used as performance measure to measure the financial performance of firms which listed in Bursa Malaysia. This study uses publicly available data from audited annual reports of a sample of 65 public listed companies for the period from 2014 to 2018. The data analysis techniques used in this study are normality test, descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The result of this study revealed that firm size and firm age have no significant relationship with a firm’s financial performance. However, the factors of company growth, liquidity and leverage have a positive and significant relationship on Malaysian firm financial performance
