Summary: The purpose of this research paper is to research on the wastes existing in software development process, and finally have a system to overcome the identified software waste. Through literature review, the details related to SDLC, Waterfall, Agile and Extreme Programming are outlined. Besides, the role system analyst is also studied. The term ‘system analyst’ will be referred to the person who communicates with the client and elicit requirements. Besides, the current problem that highlighted from different journal paper are also identified. The focused software waste is knowledge loss. Few similar systems have also been investigated to know about the common functionality exist in project management system. A questionnaire has also been prepared and publish to know the most common job scope of system analyst that should be include in the future system. The job scope that will be included in the system are creating new requirement, updating requirement details, recording UAT result and customer feedback. To provide more details about the system, the system architecture and implementation of the system will be presented. Based on the result from Unit Testing and UAT, it proves Hippocampus has achieved the project aims and objectives.
