Thus, the main aim of this study is to examine the impact of organisational commitment, human resource practices and competence on organisational citizenship behaviour. The targeted population of this study were among top management employees of banking sector in Muscat, Oman. The problems being addressed in this study is that presently low level of employees’ commitment and high level of turnover intention. In addition, changing in the Omani banking sector have led to high level of uncertainty, threat and job insecurity among employees there by affecting their level of organisational commitment. In addition, Payroll errors and laziness and poor communication. This research was a quantitative study and data were collected from a sample of 114 respondents from top management employees of banking sector in Muscat, Oman whereby the data were analysed by the use of SPSS. Data was collected through a questionnaire by using Likert scale for organisational commitment, human resource practices, competence and organisational citizenship behaviour. The findings of this research are that organisational commitment, human resource practices and competence has significant relationship towards organisational citizenship behaviour among top management employees of banking sector in Muscat, Oman. The findings in this study, were also supported by the results from prior research.
