Research has shown that the action has affected the foreign relation of Indonesia and Australia that has been built since a long time ago. This study aim to analyze the impact and conflict resolution of the issue. Building from previous research on this particular even, it asks: what is the impact of the spying in 2013 towards Indonesia and Australia bilateral relation, and what is the conflict resolution attempt made by Indonesian Government to resolve the issue. Narrative analysis were conducted by reviewing existed information, the analysis revealed the spying action impacting the defense cooperation and resolved the problem by establishing “Code of Conduct” on the security cooperation framework.
