520 _aWhite-collar crime is an important issue nowadays. It causes billion of ringgit loses to the country. To prevent this, we must know what factors actually contributed to white-collar crime cases. The main objective of the research is to examine the factors that attributed to white-collar crime cases in Malaysia – the perspective of Royal Malaysian Police from Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department. The police personnel involved in this study were among the police officers in Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) at Menara KPJ, Jalan Tun Razak that engage in commercial crime investigation and cases. CCID is one of the Royal Malaysian Police’s crime handling departments and its function is to investigate, arrest and prosecute offenders who committed white-collar crimes such as fraud, forgery documents, criminal breach of trust, cyber-crime and others. This research utilizes qualitative date through questionnaires. The findings showed that pressure is the main cause that attributed to white-collar crime cases in Malaysia. This was supported by Pearson correlation result and regression analysis result. Beside pressure, organizational opportunity, rationalization and gender also contribute to white-collar crime cases in Malaysia.
